Con Calendar 2011

One thing we really love doing is going to conventions, not only as Artists' Alley participants but also as general attendees and cosplayers!  All four of us have been to Anime Boston a few times, Matt has also gone to Bakuretsu Con which is held in upstate Vermont.  Jenn went with Matt to Bakuretsu Con and to Queen City Kamikaze on her own, while Casey has gone to more than the rest of us combined!  Her travels include New York Comic Con, AnimeNEXT, Connecticon, and Otakon in addition to Anime Boston and Bakuretsu Con.

So now we're making a serious effort to attend more conventions around the continental United States.  Smaller ones here in the New England area and larger ones farther away.  We hope to meet lots of our Facebook, deviantART, Etsy, and (of course) blog fans!

Here's the list of where we're going in 2011.  As we confirm spots we'll update this list, so check back!  This information is also published on our Facebook page under the events tab, and you can comment there if you wish to discuss event-specific things with us.

• May 20th-22nd is when Anime Central is being held in Rosemont, IL.  Jenn and Casey will be there all weekend.
• May 27th-30th is when Fanime is being held in San Jose, CA.  Jenn will be there all weekend, maybe Casey too!
• June 17th-19th is when MetroCon is being held in Tampa, FL.  Matt and Elizabeth will be there all weekend.
• June 17th-19th is when Anime Mid-Atlantic is being held in Chesapeake, VA.  Casey and her friend Marissa will be there all weekend.
• July 1st-4th is when AnimeExpo is being held in Los Angeles, CA.  Matt and Casey will be there all weekend.
• July 8th-10th is when ConnectiCon is being held in Hartford, CT.  Matt and Casey will be there all weekend (and maybe Elizabeth too).
• July 29th-31st is when Otakon is being held in Baltimore, MD.  Matt and Elizabeth will be there all weekend.  Casey will be too, but she'll be part of a large cosplay group attending the con!
• August 19th-21st is when RamenCon is being held in Merrillville, IN. Jenn and her mom will be there all weekend.

Here are other conventions that we're working on going to, but either haven't 100% confirmed yet or we're on their waitlist.

• June 10th-12th is when AnimeNEXT is being held in Somerset, NJ.  We've submitted our application for consideration.
• June 23rd-26th is when PortConMaine is being held.  We're on the waitlist for this one.

There are others we'd like to go to as well, but it's far too early in our planning process to really say more than that.  If you have thoughts about any of these conventions, or if there's a convention that you think we just have to check out, please drop us a note!
